How do you make a ferry trip even more fun for families? Stena Line turned to us for the answer. Together, we created Quiz Ahoy!, a sea themed quiz game designed to bring families closer together during their journey. Packed with playful trivia and interactive challenges, it’s the perfect way to pass time and create memorable moments onboard. Our solution was one of several innovative digital initiatives implemented to enhance the overall experience.
The Challenge
When Stena Line launched three new ferries, Estrid, Edda och Embla, they wanted to take a step towards transforming their digital infrastructure with the goal to elevate the passenger experience. We were tasked with creating an immersive, room-sized interactive touch-screen game that would include engaging gameplay, ensuring a captivating and memorable journey for all passengers on board.

The Solution
Our answer? Quiz Ahoy!, a fun, interactive quiz game that passengers could enjoy together during their trip. The game combined trivia questions with playful sea themed visuals, encouraging families to compete in teams and learn new things while having a great time together.

The Experience
With Quiz Ahoy!, families can test their knowledge on a variety of topics, from general trivia to sea related facts. The questions are designed with different difficulty levels to be accessible and entertaining for all ages, ensuring that everyone can participate and enjoy the fun. Passengers loved the game, and it became a perfect way to pass time onboard, creating shared moments and laughter among families.
An ‘Experience Wall’ is located to the right of the main corridor opposite the ‘Living Room’. This consists of an interactive touch screen game which moves along the four screens as you progress.
Our solution incorporated a design where passengers move from left to right, creating a natural flow that prevents bottlenecks and ensures that no one lingers in one spot for too long.
